Job Requirements
Veteran knowledge of PC game genres including
MMORPGs, First Person Shooters (FPS) and RTS games,
as well as extensive PC gaming knowledge for the following:
» Online gaming community;
popular / most played online games; gaming news sites
(popular gaming file sites for: patches, cheats, saved
games and trainers); community run fan sites; 3rd party
applications used in the gaming community
» Highly anticipated games
in development (popular game developers)
» Background information
of Game Engine
» Gaming events (sponsored
LAN conventions and gaming expos)
» PC gaming hardware and
devices
Additional Job Requirements
» Expert gamer with organized
testing experience
» Proficient English communication
skills
» Proficient in Japanese
language a must
» Proficient in reading
Korean a plus
Job Description
» Game bug regression
Using the Clarify's query for looking up all bugs that
are still open and regressing each issue per game depending
on the testers assigned games
» Low detailed game testing
A basic run through of each game verifying no immediate
issues are displayed (i.e. blue screens, hangs, crashes,
device failures or any type of corruption)
» High detailed game testing
Extensive detailed testing with a minimal of one hour
and 30 mins per game using all available options / features
in the game, i.e. game tutorial, different game modes
and Multiplayer vs. Singleplayer
» Engineer testing (when requestedusually
before a driver build)
Verifying fixes with bootlegs, reproducing issues with
developers for dx-logging, debugging and general examples.
This would also include helping the developer get the
game installed from the spa-games server with the proper
game updates and sometimes instructions on how to play
the game if more information is required other than
the supplied information from the logged bug. |
